Congratulations to the HOA 2021 Board of Directors:
The results of the 2021 AGM election have been counted and reported by Elite Management Company and the new board members for 2021 are:
Ryan Barnes (continuing from 2020 to 2021)
Kathy Barnes (newly elected for 2021)
Doug Moore (continuing from 2020 to 2021)
Heather Jackson (newly elected for 2021)
Kevin Cavanaugh (newly elected for 2021)
Thanks to the HOA members that took the time to vote for this election and to neighbors for volunteering to serve on the board in the coming year. Also, thank you to Judy Hamner and her staff for their efforts with the mail in ballots and voting due to Covid-19 restrictions this year.
Also, an update on the motion to waive the audit did not pass due to not enough HOA members as a whole submitting votes and what was needed to as outlined in the CC & R’s.
New board members have been welcomed to the board and at this time officer positions are being determined and will be updated to the HOA membership with another post soon.
A Huge Thanks to the 2020 Board Members That Have Left the Board:
Board 2020 President Ryan Barnes Message:
The Board of Directors for 2020 was very active and while meetings did not happen face to face, there were ongoing special meetings that engaged all board members working to make sure the HOA served the best interest of the neighborhood at all times during Covid-19.
I want to applaud the dedication and collaborative efforts of the following three board members who have left the board for various reasons and hope that other neighbors appreciated their service this past year too.
Bob McCoy – Board of Director Treasurer who recently a week ago listed his house for sale and he knew he would be moving; so he decided to not run for the board again. Bob and his wife Mary Jo will be moving to the sunny state of Florida. Bob has served on and off again on the board since living at Loomis Trails for over 14 years and held the position of President of the Board of Directors for many years in the past. The good news is that he truly loved being involved in the board serving the community and he will engage in this volunteer commitment in the new community they live in.
Lynne Sterritt– Board of Director Secretary who moved out of the neighborhood with her husband Steve in Oct. 2020 as they found a home with a beautiful water setting in Sandy Point in Whatcom County. Lynne has served on the board for since 2016 consecutively through 2020 and was gracious to host many board meetings at her home.
Fred Howell – Board of Director Member at Large decided not to run for the board for 2021. Fred has been a continued ongoing board member off and on throughout the time he has lived in Loomis Trail serving in repeated past roles as Vice-President of the Board. He continues to live in the neighborhood and with his knowledge of the growth of homes and properties over the years and he will continue to make sure neighbors know the importance of following CC & R’s.
Please Remove Seasonal Decorations:
As we move into February now, please homeowners/renters please remove seasonal holiday decorations as soon as possible. Thanks to all the homeowners that have done so already. The winter drive through of the neighborhood will be happening in the next month also.
Home Sales Continue Strong in the Neighborhood:
As of today, two of the three homes that are for sale in the neighborhood have sold with one pending sale and one contingent sale; thus leaving one home on the market for sale. House sale prices continue to rise which is good for everyone’s real estate and property values. It is expected that more homes will continue to go up for sale in our neighborhood which is a trend for the past year.
Thanks to everyone for keeping our Loomis Trail neighborhood looking beautiful throughout the entire year. First impressions are made by neighbors driving through to see that the neighborhood looks well kept, landscaped, and free of debris.
Support Local Neighbor – Megan as Pre-Sales on Girl Scout Cookies is Feb. 5th:
Many neighbors might recognize Megan as she rides her bike in the neighborhood faithfully and walks with her Mom, brother, and dog daily. Due to Covid-19 restrictions sales are much different this year and she has had to reach out to other means to sell cookies to support her Girl Scout Troop activities/volunteer commitments.
Megan’s troop has 40 (+) members and if anyone else is interested in joining the troop, email your questions to: [email protected].
Personally, I supported Megan by ordering 4 boxes of cookies and will give a few boxes for gifts. Plus, the cookies are long time favorites of mine. Listed next is a nice write up that Megan provided for the HOA Newsletter on herself and the ordering process for the cookies:
Hello Neighbors,
My name is Megan. We have recently moved to the neighborhood on Castlerock Drive. I am part of local Girl Scout Troop #44531. I have been in Girl Scouts for 7 years and in that time, I have learned leadership, business, and outdoor skills. My favorite part of Girl Scouts has been to go camping as a troop and to attend Camp River Ranch each summer.
Girl Scouts relies heavily on the funds from cookie sales to run programming in our area. Due to Covid-19 we are not allowed to do door-to-door sales, but don’t fret I can still get you the cookies you love, and you can support my troop! There are three different ways you can support us during the cookie season:
1. You can order and pay online using the link below –
a. Choose delivery and I will provide contact-less delivery when our cookies arrive in mid-February.
b. Choose to pay for shipping (4 box minimum) and receive your cookies via USPS in about 14 days.
2. If you don’t want cookies, you can order online and have them donated to our local Military Troops and Lydia Place.
3. You can email your order to my parents at [email protected]. I will collect money (cash or check) when we deliver in mid-February.
My troop and I will be using this year’s profits for donation of needed supplies at Lydia Place, Local Food Banks, and Ferndale Resource Center, and fun activities once we are able to gather together again. My troop and I would love your support.
Thank you,
Megan
Thanks to Megan for her involvement in a great group and if you are able to order please remember: Order now as the deadline for pre-orders is Friday February 5th.
RAIN THIS WEEK – BUT SNOW IS IN THE FORECAST NEXT WEEK:
Homeowners and renters please be advised to be careful driving only on the road during snowy days. There have been several areas of grass boulevards when snow covers the grass that vehicles have driven on the grass causing visible damage.
Also, please be mindful to stay off grass boulevards at all times and not park or drive in the grass as it is very wet and leaves muddy areas not only on the grass, but our roads too from muddy tire tracks. Thank you to everyone for making sure all family members are informed, as well as hired vendors arriving to homes for work repairs. It is each person’s responsibility to inform guests and vendors to park in the many paved pull out areas. Please make this a practice in all of your conversations.
