August Updates Continued From July 26, 2020 on Common Repeat Reminders:
All of this information is for all homeowners and renters to know and understand in the neighborhood. This includes family members as well.
1. It is necessary to remind all homeowners yet again about keeping garbage cans out of sight from driveways, the front yard, and/or the side yard after garbage pick-up day. For those not putting their garbage cans in their garage or back yard with yet another reminder, will be sending letters to those ignoring the rules repeatedly, and possible fines to follow too.
2. Other items to keep out of sight from the side areas that are in view from the street or sidewalk are ladders lawn mowers, wheel barrows, barbeques, kayaks, piles of household items/junk, and if in doubt contact Judy Hamner with Elite Property Management Company at [email protected] for any questions. All of these items need to be in your personal garage, shed, or back yard out of viewing from the road and sidewalk.
3. It is up to each and every homeowner to know and follow the HOA CC & R’s rather than individuals stating they did not know about a rule. For example, there are rules on getting approval to paint houses, build fences (on lots that are approved to do so), build sheds, change landscaping designs in front yards, to name a few. All of these require forms to be completed that are on the HOA website. Remember, this process takes time and approval by the Board of Director Volunteers. Homeowners should not just assume these items are not noticed and should not be ignored. It is still summer, so if anyone is planning for submission of requests, please get them in soon.
4. The Speed Limit is 15 mph. Please obey and drive safely. Also, do not leave cars on the road parked as this is not safe and/or allowed. There are pullouts for short temporary parking, but these are not for personal use by homeowners on a regular basis.
Covid-19 Updates:
There are many different reports that can be read for updated information on Covid -19 and Washington Phases and Guidelines to follow; as well as daily, monthly, and updated statistical data through state and federal reporting. It is up to each homeowner to stay informed with constant changes happening through television or special news briefs. If you subscribe to the Bellingham Herald, Seattle Times, Northern Light, Ferndale Record Journal, or other publications you will find information this way or other Social Media news stories as well.
Home Sales:
Homes continue to sale within days of listings of new homes in our neighborhood and other developments close by. With low interest rates and real estate still being a good investment, Loomis Trail is in high demand for out of area homeowners looking for homes. Thanks to Kevin with the WRS Landscaping Company and his crew for keeping the boulevards looking great; plus, for the beautiful front gate entrance that has never looked better than this year with the healthy geraniums brightening our neighborhood.
A big thank you to our neighborhood volunteer Paty Williams who continues to water the Golf Course entrance large planter containers all summer long to keep this entrance looking fabulous too.
Also, a final thank you to homeowners and lot owners for being responsible to keep their landscaping looking pristine too. We have a few homeowners that need to step up to the plate and be responsible in this aspect of home ownership.
