August 1, 2021 Loomis Trail Newsletter Update

Monday August 9, 2021 is the first Regular HOA Board of Directors Meeting  (since Covid-19) and the meeting will be held from 6:30-8:00pm at the Ferndale Library Meeting Conference Room.  Please arrive on time as the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Thank you on behalf of the Board of Directors.  This meeting was posted already informing homeowners on July 11th as well.

Summer Home and Landscaping Projects – ANOTHER REMINDER:

Just a reminder, that everyone needs to read their CC &R’s before starting projects and be very careful in submitting plans with careful attention to details as the board members review the information carefully.  It is not unusual for submissions to be sent back requiring missing information or requesting additional information that was not submitted for a project once the board members act upon reading, reviewing, and looking at the scope of work being requested.

In the best interest of the HOA of Loomis Trails the board members also need time to review all submissions.  At times, there are multiple requests being submitted all in the same week and the board members are volunteers juggling life, work, and vacations, etc.  Individuals need to realize it can take up to 30 days for projects to be reviewed depending on submission requests.  Keep in mind, many neighbors see these home projects and landscape projects happening and curious minds want to know if they have been approved or not.  Requests need to be submitted to Judy Hamner for the initial review before the board is sent the information from Judy to them.  This way they are being logged in and recorded properly for future board members to review and go back to for any reason.

Thank you all for your patience with requests by the board members.  Summer is a very busy time as well as fall, so plan early (not late or not at all as fines maybe imposed) if you are thinking now about a project.  We are already having homeowners working toward submitting requests for late August and September as well with questions that arise as they prepare to submit a request.  Many do submit proper paper work and if in doubt contact Judy Hamner for assistance.

Also, do not block the sidewalks as we have homeowners that walk late at night  and during the day; and have mobility concerns, as well as many new families with young children too.  Some individuals do not feel comfortable walking on the road.  This is a safety concern for the HOA, neighbors, the homeowner, and the hired contractor or individuals doing the work. Think of these things and the timeline necessary to do the work and plan accordingly with safety in mind too.

This is a short August newsletter.  Enjoy the rest of the summer. Stay healthy, happy, and welcome our new neighbors to the Loomis Trail Neighborhood or even greet long time neighbors as well, if you don’t know them.

The next deadline for news for the September newsletter is due August 21, 2021 or if you have items to sale individually send photos, price list, and contact information to [email protected] for submission.
