A Day – or A Way?
While Thanksgiving, the Day, comes but once a year, Thanksgiving, the ‘way’, can be an everyday experience. And with so many disconcerting happenings in our world today, thanksgiving provides an excellent prescription for positive mental and emotional health! Why not try to think of 3-5 simple things you can be thankful for each day and speak them out loud?
Even better, find someone you are thankful for and express your appreciation to them directly. You both will benefit!
Hey, why not start by expressing thanks for all our beautiful surroundings (pic’s) or one of your beautiful neighbours? We really do have a great bunch of people living here!
Our Own Perfect Storm
In November, one of our neighbours reported seeing a malfunctioning sprinkler head at the main gate. It broke just in time for the cold weather front to set in and create a bit of an ice skating rink. Oh my, that wasn’t much fun for the unwary, was it?
While the Board was dealing with this, we discovered that there had been a complete turnover in our WRS maintenance crew – which resulted in further delays. We and WRS regret any inconvenience it may have caused you, but are thankful for your patience and understanding!
Please know that if something is in need of attention in our neighbourhood and we know about it, we are on it! The board is THANKFUL for those neighbours who keep an eye out for things out of the ordinary and report them to us. We are in this together!
Do You Drive Across the Border To Canada?
The Government of Canada has recently made some significant changes surrounding car insurance and accident liabilities. Click on the link to get informed and then we recommend you check with you own insurance company to make certain you are fully covered.

Get Into The Spirit of the Season!!!
Regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas – or any of the holidays observed this time of year – this is the season for bright and beautiful. We are going to have our first neighborhood lighting and decoration contest. Whether you do a little or a lot, why not join in the fun, spirited, competition? You might be announced as the winner at our annual meeting in January.
Are You Ready To Zoom-Zoom?
We aren’t talking about race cars; we’re talking about Annual Meetings. An unofficial survey of residents, conducted by a few of our board members, has overwhelmingly indicated openness and interest in doing our Annual meeting in January via Zoom. As a result, on Saturday January 28, from 9:30-10:30, please plan to “tune in” for our first ZOOM annual meeting! A link will be provided to all homeowners. And, for any who would appreciate a short familiarization demonstration of the Zoom technology, a brief session will be held on Wednesday night January 18th from 7-7:30.
The View From My Window
All the photos in this month’s edition of our newsletter have been taken from the Cavanaugh kitchen nook. (In fact, that amazing view accounts for nearly 50% of the pictures I take.) I know there are others here at the Greens who appreciate the beauty of this living space and enjoy taking pictures. I’d love to include some of your favorites in our next issue – which will focus on winter. Send them to me at [email protected]
