Rock Morris a professional artist, has lived in the neighborhood at 4411 Castlerock Drive going on almost one year now. Many times neighbors know a little or a lot about their next door neighbors, or nothing at all. The good news is this is an opportunity to meet one of our neighbors Saturday April 30th or other upcoming dates and see his unique distinguished art work.
The Blaine by the Sea Studio Tour is an exciting event showcasing the art of our local artists in their home studios and other Blaine locations. If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend this is a great time to meet, eat, sip, and mingle with incredible artists. Rock Morris is part of the 30 artists participating. Rock will be exhibiting at Atwood Farm Brewery (https://www.atwoodales.com/). Blaine businesses also will be show casing other artist works at additional locations such as Semiahmoo Resort, The Vault Wine Bar, Peace Arch Cafe, Blaine Boating Center, and more places too.
I was fortunate to visit with Rock at his home studio and see his amazing artwork. I learned so much about him too including his education, background, and what a wonderful, nice neighbor he is. Rock works in all mediums of art including pencil, pastels, charcoal, watercolor, mixed medium, digital art, photography; as well as creating wood crafted art decor that is amazing, each original, and unique. His home studio is simply a showcase of vibrant art. He also does his own professional matting and framing of his artwork too.
Rock is more than a professional artist and has worked in New York and has done private art tutoring in Switzerland, and has multiple art degrees. He is so passionate about his artwork in how he turns his vision into different art processes giving art meaning, a story, and overall aesthetic value.
