Fall is Here and This Means Halloween, Fall Harvests, Yard Clean-Up, Colder Mornings, and More

The Fall Quarterly Drive Thru Will Be Happening on Wednesday October 27th:

Informing everyone to prepare in the coming weeks to get your yards in order which includes; sprucing up landscaping, filling in areas of missing bark that have landscaping fabric showing, yard debris or other unacceptable items such as ladders not put away, planters with dead foliage visible, weeding, tree/bush trimming done, in addition to include overgrown shrubs on properties (this also includes sidewalks that need to be free of any overgrowth areas too), and grass mowed before the weather gets too cold and wet in coming weeks.  For those that are not able to do this themselves or are out of town, please contact Judy Hamner for referrals of landscape companies or talk to your neighbors for suggestions as well. Everyone is responsible for upkeep of their yards and if you have renters responsible for this too, please inform them of this reminder; although, ultimately it is the homeowner that is responsible at any given time.

Ongoing Monthly Reminders From Neighbors Reporting Information to Share:

1)  All dog owners, children of families, dog walkers, and guests, please pick up dog poop during the day and night.

2)  Vehicles of Homeowners and Vendors (Landscapers, Moving Trucks, Home Repair Vans, etc.) need to park in the driveways or pullouts and NOT on the road for safety concerns of emergency vehicles to pass through, neighborhood cars coming and going, plus walker, and biker safety too.  Neighbors are very concerned about this topic. All homeowners need to make this topic part of every conversation when hiring a contractor or landscaper to do work for individual property owners. Thank you all for sharing this widely with each of your contacts that do regular work.

3) Garbage cans need to be out of sight from the curb and driveways within a day or two of garbage pick-up. They need to be put in garages, back yards, or other hidden means so they are not visible from the street.

HOA Board Message & Thanks to Neighbors for All Your Cooperation During the Recent Tree Trimming Last Month:

Many homeowners have expressed and shared compliments of the professionalism of the recent tree cutting service and wanted to know the name of the company and contact information too.  The company name is “I’ve Got a Guy Tree Service” from Bellingham.  Their phone number is (360) 599-6197.  They are licensed and bonded and trimmed over 100 trees for the HOA.  The bid was very competitive and they started on the hour they said they would arrive and finished when they said they would too. They cleaned up the entire neighborhood streets and did a superb job and were very concerned about safety too.  If you ever need tree trimming service removal or replacement, check them out for a price proposal and other factors to consider when checking out bids.  As mentioned in the last short HOA update the timeline of their services could not have come at a better time as the major windstorm the day that followed their services would have left way more branches in the neighborhood.

One last reminder, please place any large branches that fall in the coming fall and winter months in the grass boulevards if you happen to see any on the streets or sidewalks. The debris will be picked up on the next visit by WRS staff or if you could kindly place in your garbage tote if you have room.  Thank you everyone for your help during windstorms when branches fall unexpectedly.

Also, if anyone is selling their homes and having large moving trucks come through the neighborhood, please kindly inform moving truck hauling drivers to be extra careful when driving in the neighborhood by trees, and to stay off the grass boulevards, and be cautious of the gates at both entrances in planning a move too.

Thanks to all the neighborhood photographers in 2020-21:

Next month, watch for the winning name of a photographer in the newsletter as two board members will be drawing a name of all the homeowners that submitted photos for use for the HOA Loomis Trail newsletters for a donated gift card. All the photos that are submitted regularly are beautiful and much appreciated.  The photos include those that were submitted October 2020 – October 2021.  For future photograph submissions, please send to [email protected]. For the next newsletter submit no later than Nov. 20, 2021.
