February 25, 2021 Loomis Trail Newsletter Update

Congrats to Loomis Trail Golf Course for Being Recognized as a Washington Premiere Golf Course by the Seattle-PI.

Cheyne Jones (Advertising & E. Marketing Coordinator with Silver Reef Casino Resort) reported great news that Loomis Trail Golf Course was rated in the Top 5 Washington state golf courses in a news release on February 18, 2021 by the Seattle-PI.  This is great news for our Loomis Trail community and golfers that will visit our area.  This type of news also does add to our continued real estate investments.  Several new buyers even recently have purchased homes so they can play golf year around.

For those wanting to read more about the news story you can read the information by clicking on the link:

Also, many homeowners already know that the golf course is owned by Silver Reef Casino Resort.  If homeowners, renters, and friends are looking for a hotel and place for out of town guests to enjoy, please know that there are ongoing specials/promotions that can be viewed on their website too at https://www.silverreefcasino.com  for details.

There is more good news to announce as well as the “The Grill” at the golf course is opening back up on February 27th from 9-5.  It will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for the next several weeks, but they expect to be open seven days a week soon. There will be dine in and take out service for customers.

Winter Quarter Neighborhood Drive Thru Change and Extended Date:

Due to the past snow and continued rainy weather, the drive thru viewing was not held this week. The drive thru will happen on March 3rd which will give homeowners/renters time to do some yard work prior to this date over the weekend to tend to any landscaping, weeding, and shrub/tree trimming needs.  Plus, keep in mind to remove all seasonal decor from the Fall/Christmas holidays as the spring season will soon be here.

For neighbors new to the neighborhood, items looked at during the neighborhood drive thru include landscaping upkeep, garbage cans being out of sight of view, ladders or other items not allowed in view, and more as part of the CC & R’s.

After the review, Judy Hamner will be contacting homeowners that need to take action on any possible concerns.  Overall, homeowners for the most part have been taking responsibility and excellent care of their properties which is very positive.  Sometimes, a few neighbors need reminding with a simple phone call, email and/or letter for corrective action. There are also some neighbors due to Covid-19 that are not able to cross the border to be readily available to take care of things immediately; however, be assured that Judy Hamner works with neighbors to assist with a list of vendors and landscaping businesses for short and long term needs too.  This is something she works diligently with homeowners on throughout the year too. If any homeowner needs referrals it is always good to chat with your neighbors or contact Judy at (judy4elitemanagement.com) for information.

Neighborhood Cluster Mailboxes and Errors in Mail Delivery:

It was reported by a neighbor two days ago on Castlerock that there has been issues with their mail box key sticking and won’t open.   If anyone else ever has problems with their mail box key, please contact and refer all questions to Judy Hamner. She will work to see that the issue is resolved by a repair vendor. There is no need to contact the postal carrier or post office for repairs.

On another note, there has been instances again of the wrong mail and/or packages being put in mail boxes occasionally. Please be so kind to bring it your neighbor if you feel comfortable for a quick and timely exchange of mail. If not, return to the post drop box at each neighborhood location cluster box or return to the Post Office notating that the mail was put in the wrong box.  Also, keep in mind some mail that is delivered in error may belong to someone else in Blaine or a whole different city too.  It is a courtesy to not hold on to mail and get it to your neighbors or the postal service quickly; especially when bills and checks are expected to be delivered.
