Fred and Laura Howell on Castlerock reported tonight they saw a cougar in their back yard while out sitting watching the rain from their back patio around 6:10pm. They both saw it and it ran off to the west. They also heard it growl/hiss too. It is important that family members and children know about this while walking, biking, and jogging through the neighborhood. Also, pet owners should be aware of this too. For some neighbors that receive Next Door Neighbor news alerts through email cougar sightings have been mentioned in news posts too the last few weeks. Sightings have been reported near Loomis Trail Road, California Creek, and the Semiahmoo area too.
